I rarely get into fights. Anyways, it was my units holiday party tonight so we went downtown Des Moines. We had a nice dinner and went to a couple bars for a few drinks afterwards.

My wife got wasted so I decided we needed to go home.

On the way out of the bar, some little guy about 5 ft 5 in decides to push this woman with both hands right into front of me. As soon as he does, I start talking shit to him about him being a huge pussy and stuff. He is in the middle of the street, walking away and I'm given him shit about being a little man and a pussy. After about 15 seconds of me given him the best I got vocally, he rips off his shirt and undershirt (I think this was suppose to intimidate me). I then comment on his tattoos and mention that his tats don't make him a tough guy. He rushed in and I put him into a headlock. I have him in a headlock and I notice at least 3 different people recording the "fight" so I reach over his back, grab his underwear and give him this huge wedgie. Once his underwear rips and I have a big handful of it, I let him go. Other people jump in and separate us and I throw him his underwear back.

I ex-filled to the taxi stand about 50 meters away. When I got there, a guy and girl stopped me and say that the girl had a protective order on the guy and he will not leave her alone, blah blah blah.

My wife and I hopped in a cab and left.

I have no wounds and I didn't get upset. Just excited. It was just a little fun.

Awesome! Good to hear you gave the clown what for.

If you recall the last time I was in Des Moines I was involved in a similar exchange of fisticuffs, aside from the fact it had nothing to do a guy with assaulting a woman, and instead had to do with my incredibly drunk coworker and two gay guys in a dark alley. Not too much different than your incident, although I was in a tailored suit at the time.

I am a firm believer of avoiding street confronatations of any type as they can very quickly get out of control.

No offence but maybe you should have ignored the guy and gotten your wife out of there to a safe place. And let the jerk go.

What good would it have been for you to be a headline in the local paper as someone killed on the street . Basically for nothing.
