I vote Boston's self titled debut, or GunsnRoses Appetite as the greatest debut albums ever. If you listen to the albums, nearly every song on there was a hit as a single.
So what do you think? |

View Quote Those are both great! Though the G'NR isn't really self-titled. I'd add Yes's first album.. Yes. RUSH is a great first album too. |

Dammit... "Self titled" means only the band name.
Appetite For Destruction was the name of the album. It wasn't titled simply "Guns and Roses". |

Pearl Jams "10" was pretty solid.
The list will be pretty big. |

I don't have that great of a music knowledge, and am no where near saying that this is the "greatest," but I liked just about every track on Hybrid Theory by Linkin Park. I know they are probably not a GD approved band, and I haven't liked a ton of their stuff since then, but that one was great IMO.

Is NIN a band?
If not, my vote goes to Van Halen. Maybe The Ramones or VU. |

The first Foreigner album was pretty hot. Night Moves is sort of a debut album, since it wasn't The Silver Bullet Band before that.
ETA: How could I leave it off? Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols. |

I'm on the Boston or GnR bandwagon.
Flip a coin. Either is a great choice to be number 1...maybe with a slight nod to Boston since I had an LP. |

Jagged Little Pill has to be way up on the list. Every track was a hit.

For that matter, didn't GnR have a cassette EP floating around with stuff that eventually appeared on Lies? |

One of the greatest 90's releases......Uncle Tupelo's "No Depression" set the scene for a decade of Alt country goodness...too bad J Cash never covered any Uncle Tupelo, that would have been epic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKo_1rVClOk&feature=share&list=PL549659C7DB2A57F3&index=1 View Quote The Beach Boys called.
