Santa and helper(Me and the wife) make an appearance for some pre-schoolers...
One little waif wouldn't make eye contact or come close. She gradually made her way to steps near by. She would try to watch out of the corner of her eye. While every body was distracted, I sat down next to her. 
I started talking to her. Within a few minutes, she was posing for photos.
