Yeh, saw a picture or two here but it didn't register anything.

Now my wife brought one home and is trying to find the proper spot for it.

Yes, I live a sheltered life.

Might have pics of the elf shooting the disposable cat later.

By the time Christmas rolls around, I'm stressed out trying to find new and inventive things for that bitch to do.

But the kids love it, so....HO HO HO.

I didn't know until last year when I was 34 years old. Got the set with the DVD and watched it.

We just discovered this phenomenon recently as well.

Fun for the kids - and fun for the adults who get to mess with the kids.   :D

Actually, we had these when I was a kid (early 1970's).  We would just put them around the house and make them play army man games with us in the backyard.  I think my mom got them sometime in the late 1960's.

We had those when I was a kid in the '70s too, but they were just used as decorations. A friend of mine from college actually burned down his house with one when he was little. He hung it on one of those big, hot, old-fashioned Christmas tree lights. The tree, presents, and the rest of the house went up in flames.

I saw pictures here last week of this for the first time. Still not sure why it is or what the hell is going on.

My brother does Elk on the Shelf... a little toy elk that is hidden so when his son wakes up, he searches for it then finally shoots with a nerf gun.

I have kids and I never heard of it until that thread the other day. I asked what it was but no one felt like giving me a straight answer so I googled it. My kids are too old for that stuff anyway. I asked them about it and they never heard of it either. I figured they might have heard about it at school, but nope.
