Its habit that every time I shop for something I look for American made products.
Post brands that you know have USA made ((offerings)) that most people probally wouldn't Off the top of my head of things I've seen or bought.. -Carhartt -anchor hocking (dishes/glassware -party peacock (plastic ware) sold at Walmart -new balance (shoes) -rocky wool socks (don't know about the boots) -HDX (Home Depot branded tools) There's lots more I'm just drawing a blank ATM. Clothing is the hardest to find USA made so hopefully someone knows of a few clothing brands. |

If you're into overpriced hipster-wear, J. Crew, oddly enough, has a made in USA section:

They still have a long ways to go after damaging their name by selling garbage Chinese knives for so long. Bully tools Pointer Brand Jeans. |

Just remembered one.
Cascade designs.. They make the ThermaRest camping pads |

Most of Carhartts are made outside of the States and I wanna say its a recent trend

Pointer Workwear - makes Carhartt seem like a damp Kleenex.

Yuppie, preppie, but definitely not hipster. It's the antithesis of hipster. Calphalon cookware is damn good stuff and made in Toledo, Ohio. |

I bought an american made padlock for my locker at work, made right across the river in Wisconsin. Go figure, it's a piece of shit.

What's the consensus on MADE IN CANADA?
Is that good enough for the Made In USA brandsters? GM powertrain is made in canuckistan. |

The majority of New Balance shoes are not made in the US anymore.

You got lucky if you found a HDX tool from Home Depot that was made in USA, most are Chinese junk.

Textiles is a training wheels industry. I don't really give a damn where my clothes are made.
Besides, manufacturing is the only game in town. For every Chinese made thing you buy, someone here had to unload it at a port, move it to a train, rail it across the country, truck it to a distribution point, move it again to a store, stock it, and market it for you to buy it. That's a lot of American hands at work. |

I just picked up a realtree light 2x for like 130ish or so at tractor supply and it was the ONLY usa carhartt. most us manufacturers have some things imported, if not all. still OP is GG for trying to support US economy instead of sending more money to china off the top of my head: Benchmade Spyderco Snap-on (most of snap-on non-electric tools, and no bluepoint) Channel-Lock Proto (stanley owned, but stanley is made in mexico) J.H. Williams Wright Tool Co Starrett Precision Tools (90% american made- you got to look at the packages now) Vaughn Hammers Dasco Punches and Chisels Toyo and Nitto Tires Red Wings (Only the PECOS line, look inside the boot for sure) H&H Boots White Hat Holsters Maudlin & Sons Stainless Shims J H Case knives Bunn Coffee Makers (the stainless steel industrial models like the A10, VPR series) Wrangler Clothes (most of them still are USA made, eg. fire resistant models etc) Stihl chainsaws and power equipment Echo is made in usa but with import engines Bad Boy Lawnmowers John Deere (about 70% are. but unless you go bigger then 5 series SOMETHING will be chinese. eg:5105 is like a 60k$ tractor, but the front axle is a chinese spicer) Case Equipment Pelican cases Boyt cases (copies of pelican, great quality) pretty much anything you want you can find made in USA and it WILL be higher quality, except electronics. Yeah, i have an iphone and my computer and tv's and playstations and shit are probably all chinese, however our family exhausts all resources before buying import unless it's because of quality issues. eg. rolex > all american watch brands, and so on, and so forth. When you get ready to buy anything over 20$, google an american made version. chances are it can be had on amazon. |
