She just started working as a gymnastics coach, and just got her first paycheck- $50 gross, $43ish net.
She didn't notice the taxes, SS, Medicare taken out. I asked if she saw how much was taken out for Federal tax. No, she said. Me: About 10% Girl: Wat? Me: Did you see they took money out for Social Security, and Medicare? Girl: Wat? That's for old geezers, why am I paying for that? Me: Well, you're paying for those who are on it now. Girl: I guess this is why everyone hates the government, because they're taking our money. Is why you old guys are into politics. Me: Yep.

I wish I could've posted the avatar, that one of our members has, that has a fat lady saying "Wat" after each of my girl's responses. It was priceless.
