What, is that like a bonus prize for spending a year over there, or what?
What kind of threat, exactly? Is this status redeemable for cash or ammo at a participating local retailer? Details, man! |
|

They can't have vets who can do coordinated area denial defending their neighborhood against gimmedat looters in the event of civil disorder. That would be unfair.

Bonus prize is ten years in prison, like the guy in the video.

Everyone is a threat. The .Gov is a paranoid girlfriend or ex girlfriend.

Has anyone ever thought that vets are fed the same stuff over and over to think "Man I should be fucked up because I spent a year in Iraq/Afghanistan!"? It seems like that's just generally expected from us these days, and it doesn't make much sense to me.

But what if I was in Iraq for pleasure instead of for work? That means I'm OK, right?

On one hand, they try not to make the mistake of treating vets like they did coming back from Vietnam and support efforts to find jobs for our guys but yet on the other hand they are labeled as danger to society because of their time overseas. Libs hates the military, lets get that clear. I just don't get those who wear the uniform and support Dems. Why do you vote for people who outright hate you?

Sure glad Nam vets are off the hook. We would explode at
The drop of a pin. |

The news did everything possible to paint vets as damaged by their involvement in a war of oppression against a democratic peoples uprising (i.e. they killed the piss out of American liberals brothers-in-arms .....communists). I recall a study referenced in the 10 year anniversary issue of Soldier of Fortune that showed members of that generation who served in Vietnam had higher rates of success in business, personal relationships, lower suicide rates, lower drug abuse and incarceration rates than those who dodged the draft. Oh, and they get a dig in against the military which, in its defense of America, is an institution they utterly loath.

Duh. The folks who went to the sand box are now very fluent in insurgency tactics. If I were a despotic president, I'd be afraid of them too.

Skipped to the end, where he was sentenced to 10 years in prison. I spent 12 months in Iraq and I really don't use it as an exuse to hurt anybody.

fuckkkkk. I'm tired of this victimization bullshit. "I served in Iraq and now I can't function in society." Just no. He would have been doing the same stupid shit (who the fuck gets in fights at bars?) if he wasn't in the military. 99% of combat arms guys out there aren't "threats" to society and this dip-shit makes us all sound like one.

drinking in a bar with gun while knowing and admitting you are concerned about your own mental health issues..hmmm
