Mr Putin defended his government’s increasingly conservative values and
decried the "review of norms of morality” in the West and elsewhere. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/10513330/Vladimir-Putin-claims-Russia-is-moral-compass-of-the-world.html And if you don't like Putin's view, you will be re-educated, comrade! |

Eh, I kinda like Putin. Not as a person or as a politician, but as an antagonist. He can be amusing from time to time. And Obama is a much bigger threat to America than Putin could dream of being.

I really,really,really hate that guy.

He's taken Obama's bows personally?
If he took out the Russian Mafia maybe. |

Putin is quite the authoritarian and can be amusing from time to time (especially as an internet meme),
But a moral compass, he is NOT! In before the Putin fanboys... |

I seriously doubt Russia will be a more free country than the US in my lifetime. They have serious freedom of speech issues, much more obvious corruption and election fraud, tight weapons restrictions, and a population that still craves strong authority figures. Also, they had crony capitalism after the USSR, not chaos capitalism. I don't see Russia having a free market economy any sooner than we will. |

Laugh all you want but in a few decades Russia will become what the United States used to be while we go further in the hole of liberalism and socialism

Putins an interesting character. An authoritarian, but at least he's upfront about it unlike a certain piece of human excrement we have in office here

I listen to sports shows on the radio a lot and one investigative reporter was on talking about all of the graft for this upcoming Sochi Olympics in February. He said the dollar number was staggering and that billions are missing from projects, not millions and it wasn't just one guy stealing a large sum, it was a lot of people stealing lots of money.
Russia's not even close to being a 'moral compass.' Chris |

The only thing I admire about him is he is a leader. It be really nice if this country had a leader instead of a politician.

Putin is trying very hard to make Russia a world super power and is modeling his regime off of the old soviet system. He would love to have another cold war, he is KGB to the CORE! And many Russian people long for that to happen, they can't stand the fact that Russia dropped to 2nd world status. And Obummer is right there trying to knock us down to their level
Putin is a very dangerous man! |

Russia is on a better track than the US. They have the natural resources and capital to maintain their nation another 1,000 years. The US, not so much.

Me thinks Tavarisch Putin has a magnet a little too close to his compass.
