I'm no vet, but I hope that's not too much.

I think it's pretty hard for a human to take too much, I used to take it for insomnia.

Yeah, get well kitteh

I think you pretty much have to drown in Benadryl to OD.

Vet prescribed based on weight... Cat is 14lb... Most of the 5ml didn't go down.... Kitteh has skin allergy... Definetly a 2 person job to administer.

Try the juice out of a can of tuna.  That worked on mine for a while, but we had her on some antibiotics for a while and she got wise to it.

Failing that, I find liquids are easier than pills.  They fucking spit the pills back out.

Cats have high metabolisms.

What would seem like an outrageously high dose for a human is proper for them.

Got a bottle here on my desk waiting for my cat to get stupid with the face scratching again and she's getting a dose as well.

(Though, I think it's dry skin due to forced air heat and bad teeth. Getting the teeth pulled in a week.)

I have a cat, Fritz, that gets 3mLs of syrup and a capsule twice a day.  Luckily, he doesn't have a mean bone in his body.

We used to have a cat that was absolutely batshit crazy.  Chased people around the house trying to bite and scratch them, literally climbing the curtains, destroying everything it could get its psychotic paws on.  The vet prescribed Elavil in pill form, so I had to wrap the damn thing in a towel, pry its mouth open, and shove the pill down its throat.  I was constantly covered in scratches.  The first time I did it the cat was so high he spent an hour staring at the wall, but he developed a tolerance pretty quickly and became devil kitteh again.  So off to the pound he went.

God, I hated that cat.

I have to give my 15 lb. tom 1.5 ml of Clavamox twice daily for the next 10 days.  He fights taking any medicine per ora but it's a one person job.  I have a system.

My experience w/ giving a cat medicine they don't want is to first put on a leather jacket, then put on leather gloves.  Most important is wrap the damn cat in a towel like a mummy!

Go to the auto parts store.  Buy a can of starting fluid.  It's either.  Spray cat from across the room, about 6" in front of them.  When they start to stagger, dose them up.
I actually discovered this by accident when I was a teenager and sprayed my cat for shits and giggles while working on my car in the garage.

We refer to this in our home as "the Cat Burrito"

You can always try the binder clip on the neck scruff - limited success for us.
