Somehow that idiot woman got the idea that the shotgun would be brought to the school to be given away then turned right around to massacre everyone. What they should do is auction a rifle right after the shotgun.

Ironic thing is I'd rather keep the shotgun than go to NY. I don't even like shotguns that much but at least its an 870.

I've just noticed a lot of the guys in the Mississippi HTF are using it.

didn't know if it had any correlation to the Bonnie Blue being the first flag we flew after seceding from the Union.

It was originally in one of the newsletters to use it to salute the anniversary of Battle of Mogadishu. I've just carried it on until I can get a Stars and Bars or I might go back to the PRK one I used to rub in Asjism's face.

I graduated from Lafayette's cross town rival. I'm not sure about how both schools are now but this wouldn't have been an issue at either school when I was in school. Lafayette is the county school, I'd imagine the uproar is from the white liberals employed by Ole Miss (especially in the journalism dept.).

The Senior class at one of the local area high schools raffled off a scoped, camo stock Savage Axis in .243 about a month ago. Pretty good fundraiser. They only sold 150 tickets but for $10 each. I asked the boy that sold me a ticket how they managed to get the school to allow the raffle. He said a couple of boys wanted to raffle a rifle but weren't getting anything positive from their teachers, so they went straight to the superintendent. Surprisingly, he thought it was a great idea. If I understood correctly, they found a LGS to deal with, the superintendent went and paid for the rifle, then the students sold the tickets. After the winner was drawn, they go to the LGS, fill out the 4473, and pick up the rifle. The rifle was never on school property and was legally transferred.

The only shady part about the whole deal was the fact that it wasn't my ticket that was drawn...

Around here those kinds of raffles are common. Little league baseball, high school athletics are some I've bought raffle tickets for firearms.

They make a boatload of money on them...unfortunately, I haven't won yet.
