Obama, after the wake pull Raul aside, ask him if he has any cigars and rum, pour a glass, light up and do at least one good thing in your terms and open up relations with Cuba.

It is time to end over fifty years of failed policy and try another way.

Lots of Cuban cigars available in Mexico

Cuba does have some pretty good scuba diving, and there are some hot cuban chickoritas

other than that, I got no use for 'em.

Yea I rember the shirts for the 80's to kill one for mommy.   There is a Ritz Carlton next to Red Square these days and most of the stuff in your home was made in China.  It is time to look into a different way.

Over 58,000 men died in Vietnam and I can now buy a TV set down the street at Best Buy that was built there but I can't buy a cigar that is made 90 miles away from us by a country that is no threat to us.

See, I'm torn.

I totally want cuba to go back to being america's playground.

But, then there's the whole issue of the commies . . .
Especially how the run hospitals.

The best way to undermine communism is to open their markets. I agree that it is time to begin opening relations with Cuba.

I'm torn.  Any other President from either party would go in there with the objective of injecting capitalism and trying to bring them closer to our way of thinking.  I firmly believe that the current bunch of Alinsky-ites is hell bent on bringing us closer to the Cuban way of thinking.

Maybe it's better to shelve this topic until the adults return to Washington.

Coca~Cola has won more over more countries and people for us than any war ever did.

Kind of hard to change people's minds about capitalism if they don't get  a good taste of it first.  The embargo was a retarded idea that never got better with age.

You have to realize that it's never going to happen right? The only way to undermine Cuban communism and improve the lives of the Cuban people is to open their markets and start greenbacks flowing in.

We don't have "news" on Cuba short of Michael Moore movies, Jay-Z/Beyonce trips, and youtube 50s car movies.

Go back and look.  I promise I wrote other words after "24/7"

This.

I have traveled to China, I am typing on a computer with Chinese-made parts, I have clothes made in Vietnam, etc. Vietnam now wants our help in combating Chinese influence in the South China Sea and China is our largest trading partner. We lost over 50K men in the Vietnam War, the Chinese killed over 150 million of their own people under Mao, yet we embargo a nothing island. I say we crush them with capitalism.

Trading extensively with the commies seems to kill them off more than bullets.

Case in point: Warsaw Pact late 1980s.

So we want to empower another authoritarian regime closer to home?  People citing China keep assuming incorrectly that others approve of the US relationship with China.
