Here's a few hints:

It involves a big black open Lincoln limo, a cheap surplus rifle, a famous democrat whose mother was a socialist and whose father was a bootlegger.

Need a little more help?

The famous democrat's older brother turned a WWII bomber into a fireworks display and his other brother tried to turn a sedan into a submarine.

It also ruined the television schedule for a month afterward that wasn't so good in the first place.

A few years ago WBAP, a radio station here in Dallas, found a bunch of tapes from the day JFK was shot. It was fascinating to listen to the radio broadcasts from that day.

A few days later I took a trip with my Dad and we talked about it. He says to this day that he is sure Johnson has something to do with the JFK assasination. After talking with him, I think he is probably right.

You're not getting senile. Maybe it was the 23rd where you were. At any rate, I was hoping someone could come up with a good title for today.  Something like Texas School Book Depository day.

I doubt that anyone over the age of 45 can forget where they were on this date.  It was afternoon, Eastern time when I heard the news in my third grade classroom.  I remember thinking later that day that LHO must be one hell of a rifle shot.  I remember the public sentiment after Jack Ruby shot Oswald was to make a hero of Jack Ruby.  Little did we know...
IMHO Johnson knew about it, but he hadn't the resources nor the intelligence to pull it off.  Note that Johnson's first act after being sworn in was to repeal JFK's exec order creating United States Notes.  I wonder what the Federal Reserve had to say about that....

I turn 43 in 3 weeks, but I don't remember the day. So I can't tell you anything about what I was doing.

I do remember the funeral procession a few days later though. Sat there in front of the TV with mom and watched the whole thing.

20th anniversary of a wedding I should never have had.  Thought about what the day was at the time.  Maybe the date put a jinx on the mrriage.

Naw. She was just a user who wanted someone to  help her raise her kids, and had no further need for a partner after the second one finished college.[;D]

On the other hand, if she hadn't dumped me, I'd have never met my current wife and have the beautiful 5 year old son we have.  Think I'll start celebrating the anniversary of the divorce [:D]

Two of my family's most prized possesions are a couple of horseshoes from Blackjack. For those of you not in the know, Blackjack was the horse that had the empty saddle with the boots in backwards in Kennedy's funeral procession.
My Dad was in the 3rd and was responsible for Blackjack and the other caisson horses. He routinely shod these horses and kept the set of shoes from Blackjack and then had them mounted on some nice plaques with a photo and a caption. He gave one to his parents and another to my Mom's parents. I have made it very clear that I will be receiving both of these plaques when my grandparents pass on.
His other notable while there was Admiral Halsey. Pretty cool.

Yes, it's 'Oliver Stone Gets A Woody Every Time He Thinks That The Military-Industrial Complex Killed Kennedy Cause He Wanted Us Out Of Vietnam' Day!

BULLSHIT!

There was never a 'Cold Warrior' like Kennedy! He thought he would be defeated for certain in 1964, if he 'lost' Vietnam to the Commies!
