I am SOOOO glad that I don't work there anymore!
I would have to say, though, that this sounds more like baggage handlers, and not security, were the culprit. Let's wait for the investigation. Maybe some idiot put the "STEAL ME" sticker on the outside of the luggage, rather than inside. Edited for grammar, so Mrs. Ray, my 6th grade English teacher, doesn't rise from the grave and kick my ass! |

American Airlines declined an on camera interview, but said in a statement Wednesday night, "American Airlines takes this matter seriously. We are looking into the situation and working closely with local law enforcement authorities." My goodness, I hope they take this seriously. I would be one pissed off flier if this happened to me. |

here's the way to do it RIGHT: place unloaded weapon in case. Apply 'unloaded firearm' sticker to case. Place case in suitcase. check luggage.
