If there is a good thing about this its that other articles have said that it was carrying Bunker C fuel oil, which is so thick it has to be heated just to make it flow into the burners.

It sank in 11,200 feet of water. At those depths the temperature is so low that the oil would have the consistancy of rubber.

Thank God it didn't happen on my watch!

Lotsa guys right now must be happy to have not been the captain of this here lady, as her captain is sitting in jail now.

What happened to that tanker anyway?  I heard that it had a large hole in it but it doesn't look like there is anything around it to have hit.  Did it run into another ship?

Interestingly there is no word on the health or safety of the human beings that were on board.

Heard on WLS 890 AM this morning...

"An Oil Tanker broke apart and sank last night off the coast of Spain.  This is the worst oil spill in history, and the ecological damage could run in the billions.
In other news, a water line burst on Kedzie flooding a portion of the street.  No injuries have been reported."
