http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/29/california-condor-lead-poisoning_n_4174969.html

Tl;DR Summary: 21 condors have come in sick with lead poisoning from eating lead out of carcasses from hunting. Lead won't be banned until 2019, BUT CAN WE AFFORD TO WAIT THAT LONG?

Are theysure it's lead? I'm wondering if it isn't mercury poisoning. Read an artical in the USA Today paperabout how there is so much mercury left over from the gold rush.
