Looking through my contacts list today and at the bottom it said the number of contacts. There was 412 in there. Most of them I haven't talked to in a long time. But it always seems as soon as I delete a number for some reason I will need to call that person. What says the hive? Do you delete old numbers?

Nope, I always keep them. Heck I can usually remember who everyone is and what I knew them for through that list.

Eventually yes.
If I have a number in my contacts that I haven't named, it goes away and I've never yet had a use for any I've deleted.

My IPhone hasn't let me delete numbers for years now.  The problem exists between 3 different iPhones, multiple updates of both the phones, iTunes, and a new computer, resets, whatever.

It just doesn't give me the 'edit contacts' option or edit button anymore, no matter what changes or what I do.

So no, I don't.

I do but I just can't bring myself to delete my brother's number who passed away. I just can't do it.
