For low carb/paleo/ketogenic they are fantastic when you want something crunchy.

the harder cracklins with fat on them are better than the puffy rinds

Great with the drink of choice.

I like them as appetizers to pizza.

having watched a show that showed the manufacturing process, never again will I eat pork rinds, a snack I used to enjoy. (And I knowingly eat head cheese)

I just walked in the door with a six pack of beer and a bag of hot spicy pork rinds.  Yep kind of gross, but crunchy and good.

The fact that you have to ask tells me you have lived a sad sheltered life to this point.
While I'm here i'll let you in on another closely guarded secret..............beer tastes good also, you should try it

It was on the food channel, but I don't recall the show specifically - it was about 3 years ago.

Oh, oh, don't forget.  Hard boiled eggs with hot sauce.  Or if you're a pussy, hard boiled eggs with Tiger Sauce.

Dip the pig in scalding hot water and tumbling the shit out of his ass in a gaint dryer looking thing to get the hair off.  Strip off that skin with some of the fat and fry it up....

Omg, they are awesome.
The pain ones are ok, but spicy, vinegar, or bbq are my favorites.

It's deep fried pigskin...

How the fuck else are they gonna make it?

spicy pork rinds are pure AWESOME..

Saw the pork rind making video too...was nasty, but they still are awesome.  Notice the factory guy giving the tour was eating them right off the line.  For a guy that sees them getting made and is around them all the time, I think this speaks volumes to how awesome they are.

BTW...did I mention they are awesome?

Splurge on some decent pork rinds, preferably spicy, if you want the ultimate experience.

I love pork products, but for some reason I don't particularly care for pork rinds.

Try chicharrones (Mexican pork rinds).  They leave some meat on them.

I find that the puffier rinds like to stick on the tonsils. Cracklins are better IMO.

The best are fresh from the oil. Some microwave versions, similar to microwave popcorn, are pretty good in a pinch.

Most that come from a bag are terrible, though there are a few good brands that usually only have limited distribution.

Chicharrones, Absolutely no nutritional value what so ever. But nothing goes better with beer. Get the hot n spicy flavor, or use your favorite hot sauce on them YUM!
