No thanks! I remember boogy boarding as a kid a few times. Even getting caught up in Santa Cruz's tiny 2-3 foot waves was a frightening experience.

I lived 5 minutes from Maverick's for a bunch of years.
Did OK at Cruz and Surfer's Beach, never had the balls/skill to attempt Maverick's, but mind blowing to watch those who did. -hanko |

Big wave surfers (even tow in) are gods...
The physical and mental preps for it are extreme. They may be a tad whacky, but nobody's asking them to do your taxes. They have my respect. |
