Behold the fabled Tripod, a 3 year old doe who's been walking around on 3 legs for two years!  We first saw her (injured) the winter of 2011.  Saw her regularly last winter, and then she seemed to disappear.  Sunday morning was looking out the back window at the herd of 15 deer in the field, and wondered out loud whatever happened to Tripod.  Lo and behold, she was right at the edge of my yard!  No idea how she lost it, but my guess is a broken leg from being chased by hounds.  We've had other deer with busted legs show up after being run by the dogs.

This is one tough deer.  Two winters on 3 legs and she looks pretty fat & happy.  Gets around pretty good.
