When we allowed politicians, bureaucrats, and lawyers, to interpret the "General Welfare" clause to mean they needed to expand their scope and power, by worming their way into every aspect of American life.

The commerce clause was created to prevent states from restricting trade with other states. If state A puts a tariff or embargo on state B, the federal government uses the Commerce a Clause to abolish those barriers. It's amazing how abused the commerce clause is. INB4 the liberal New Yorker lectures me on how I'm wrong. |
