I was inspired while on deployment by L_JE's Rifle Transport Crate, so now that I'm back, I want to make one myself.
Having little experience with woodworking, I decided to go to the base hobby shop, which after the hour saftey breif and 10 minutes of talking to one of the attendents, I realized that I was pretty much on my own.
I returned to the barracks and started to re teach my self how to draft.
So, after about 10 hours of work, here's the results:













And The biggest pain in the ass:





This is going to be an ongoing project, so I'll update as I work on it, probably buying the wood tomorrow.

Well I already fucked up, I assumed that a 1"x12" would actually be those dimensions

So I had to adjust for the lid being 11 1/4" wide, and adjust all of the dimensions in that plane

The dimensions in the OP will work fine, as long as you're using plywood and not boards, so I'm using that as justification for not changing the schematics posted
