Did you see anything spooky?
Yes and no. Unless you mean the police, because they showed up to give me a hard time.
Yes. One of my dad's wishes was for us to shoot fireworks at the foot of his grave. No spooks but had a few "shrapnel" wounds.
Went to the local one when I was dating in highschool to bury the stiff.
One time I was at a graveyard at night and I heard talking and saw bright lights coming towards me.
Luckily, it was just the night watchman but I did have to stop my digging and hide while he passed. |
My backyard butts up against the town cemetary.Good neighbors, never complain, very quiet.
There is a very old cemetary that's surrounded by woods we used to go to at night a lot in the summer. Its located just outside of Shippenville PA.
As a kid, I fell head first into an open grave while running through an unlit cemetery at night.
Been to.....never seen.
However i have witnessed other funky activity elsewhere i can't explain. Never saw it, but people(most who had never even been there or knew about it) I was with at the time did. Happened multiple times at one place. |
yes. spent many nights in a graveyard.
never saw anything spooky. |
Yes.
And no, I've never seen anything spooky, which makes sense, since there's nothing there but grass and granite.
Yep. When I was in high school, me and my buddies used to go to the graveyard and smoke weed. Never saw anything spooky though.
My one college GF and I used to walk all around town at night, including in the cemetery. Never saw anything spooky. |
Yes. When I was a cop I used to park there and write my reports.
I've never seen anything spooky. They were dead after all. |
Since I live next to a graveyard and have graves on my property I'm going to say. No.
As kids we use to play there all the time, nothing scary at all. We never vandalized anything just horsed around playing hide and seek and stuff like that.
There was one flat gravestone with a big Harley emblem on it and "Ride to Live Live to Ride" on the headstone. This little freaky chic I was with decided he might appreciate it if we drank some Jack and got busy on his headstone. Who was I to argue? |
I was RIC once an a residential structure fire. While doing my walk around of the residence, I started stumbling over headstones.
Turns out the cemetery was butted right up to the back wall of this guys house, as in graves only a couple feet away. Seeing crosses and headstones illuminated by fire was surreal. |
Ive visited several of them at night to piss (never on a grave, though). Never seen anything other than deer.

Yes. A cemetery on a military installation. My son and I have been there many times. Cameras with fresh batteries die at night and won't work until you leave the area. Have also had problems with GPS until we leave the area.
I grew up in a church built in 1898, that my dad converted to a house in the 70's. There was and is a cemetery across the street, so of course we spent time there.
My sister who believes all things paranormal claims to have witnessed some oddities, but I certainly never did. |
yes! As a late teen. Stiffs are great fun to party with. Not to mention, its a great place not to be bothered by anyone.
As above, always respectful....
I have been to many and the strangest thing I have ever seen are some of the people that go to graveyards at night.
yep many times I put a treestand up in the woods next to a graveyard on weekends, places are more busy than a 7eleven.
In high school, got laid in one on a regular basis.
Was nice and quiet, nobody ever bothered us. Granite was kinda cold, tho. Blanket fixed that. |
Yes when I was 10 years old went to the local graveyard it had a glowing head stone if the moon light would hit it just right you could see it glowing green from the road. The guys I was with drove to the area of the grave and told me they were going back to the road and would guide me to the stone, they drove off leaving me alone in the graveyard
Yes I was scared and pissed but so was the life of a young kid in my neighborhood when the older kids wanted some fun. |
I went to one at night on Oct 12th. Several dead people spoke to me and told me about their lives. It was pretty cool.

The old overgrown parts of Glasnevin cemetary in Dublin IR are spooky in broad daylight, noy sure I want to be there at night. If there is a cemetary anywhere that has vampires Glasnevin does! There are huge stones over the old graves ( I guess to discourage grave robbers) and the ground has settled until there are holes under them big enough to crawl into.

Used to be one between downtown and my apartment when I was in college.
Used to stop there and pee. (not on the graves, by a tree in the far corner of the fence) |
pulling guard duty outside of the cemetery at Camp Johnson Jacksonville NC is creepy as hell
Yes.
Elementary School in Murfreesboro, TN there was an old Civil War era graveyard right across the street from our house. Iron fence, gravestones, big old trees and all. We went into if more than once after dark. Didn't seen anything any time. Ft. Knox, KY we had to walk past an old graveyard every time we left our camp for breakfast (dark that time of the morning) or on a training exercise. Never saw/heard a thing. |
I don't do graveyards. I did know a hot redhead who liked to have sex on top of concrete crypt lids late at night in the local graveyard. She's a school teacher now.

"Soonerborn". I was the cop that threw you out.
Yes, working chasing a criminal. N |

Back in high school, went driving around with some chicks on Halloween. Did the spook house thing, ran into someone I knew, and concocted a plan. Told the girls we were gonna go drive through the cemetery. Had my friend follow us, and after we went in, he closed the gate. We get back around "that's strange..." Get out to open the gate, and get "attacked", chicks absolutely freaked. Funny stuff. Could have been done much better and more elaborate with planning, but this was all spur of the moment ad lib stuff, had about 10 seconds to plan it. If I could do it over, I'd have friend do a scary mask and sneak up on the car while they were focused on me in the headlights trying to open the gate. A nice "HARRRRGGGHHHH!!!" and face against the car window might have damn near killed them.

Yes i have, many times. This one is even set back in a woods, and is supposed to be haunted with glowing tombstones. Oh yeah, all the headstones have the last name Meyers on them. I saw nothing.
Eta: a friend and I brought two girls there one time. I snuck up ahead of them, hid behind a grave marker when they entered the gates i got up and walked towards them. The girls freaked. |

I've done PT in Arlington National Cemetery before the sun came up. Nothing spooky.

There is an old African American cemetery about 1/2 mile from my place. One night about 11pm, I was on my four wheeler coming back from the neighbors house. Just as I was passing the cemetery the temperature dropped by 10 degrees. I kept telling myself.."DON'T LOOK!!, DON'T LOOK!!". Well I looked, and what I saw was white orbs in the cemetery. I hit the gas, but I swear I could have got out and run faster. Very creepy place.
