1. Get this book. 2. Do what it says. 3. ???? 4. Sleep thru the nite! |

You will not wear out the Dad On Duty bag - choose one that will work as a range bag later

Two of most everything. One for home and one for car/truck. And lots of patience. Get all the sleep you can now b4 baby arrives. Lots of diapers, wipes, and a few puppy pee pads for your car seat. And other places you may be at when nature calls on the little one. Oh, keep all your plastic grocery bags. Some in car and home. Paper towels. Congrats BTW. Waiting on my 3rd grandchild myself. Oh one more thing. Get all the Baby Einstein dvds you can, park them in front of TV it works great when ya need a break. Trust me on this one dad.

Talk to Jobe. I understand that he might have some spare patience.
Congrats and good luck! |

Another thing you will need besides patience is the knowledge that your life will be different forever.
You are now responsible for a life other than your own. Do what's best for them, not what's easiest. And get ready to feel a pride like you never have before. It's amazing. |
|
My suggestion would be a diaper bag that can double as something else after the diaps are through. I never liked carrying around my wifes bags. I used the Maxpedition active shooter.

I'm liking this bag.
A buddy of mine has one. http://www.amazon.com/Chrome-Citizen-Messenger-Olive-Black/dp/B00469PEB6/ref=sr_1_3?s=apparel&ie=UTF8&qid=1382824305&sr=1-3&keywords=chrome+messenger+bag |

Good home defense pistol with light.
Good home defense AR with light. In addition, if you're having a girl: get as many magazines as you can. 5000 rounds pistol ammo. 10,000 rounds expanding 5.56. Let all her friends know you're crazy and permanently pissed off. |
|
A chest carrier, like a baby bjorn. My little girl loved hers and it kept my hands free!. Then you will need a M&P .22! Enjoy all the time you can they grow up so fast ( my baby is 8 now!! wow)

Seriously, babies only need three things.
Diapers, boobies, and a carseat. Everything else is optional. A bag is nice, so is a good pump and bottles if your wife isn't always going to be there. We got so much crap from friends and relatives we didn't know what to do with most of it, YMMV. |

Diaper Genie. Best $$$ you will ever spend outside of value packs.

There is nothing that I can give you that will ready you for children. Good luck and God speed.

Had my nieces and nephew in a wreck where their Suburban was t-boned on both sides. One broke collar bone was the extent of the injuries. The ER doc told us she bought Britax for her kids because she had never had a kid come in to her with a serious injury while in one. |

I know there is a lot of guys here talking about converting it to a range bag afterwards. My reasoning is this, you being a new upcoming Dad . Use only one bag . If the Wife has the baby all the stuff will be in there. If you have the baby all the stuff you need will be in the same bag. DO NOT be responsible for stocking and maintaining our own tactical looking diaper bag. You will fail at some point . Mama will not take it lightly. Trust Me Congrats man. My Pediatrician pulled us both aside as new parents long ago and said don't worry to much about everything. All babies really need is LOVE from Mom and Dad and food every 3- 4 hours . |

Two words: BABY WIPES!
Seriously, those things should be ready by the handful any place, any time. There will be spectacular fecal messes. Baby wipes will be your first line of defense. Also, always a clean change of clothes, for you and the baby. |

I will say the sex has come to a slow down... she was super horny for the first three of four months, but not so much now... I will say, the quantity and quality of BJ's has increased thou... |

So, Diapers... the wife wants to do cloth... I'm not a fan... any one have experience?

Here's all you need and you'll be fine.
Patience Love Understanding And being able to use all these in a sleep deprived setting. Good luck and congratulations OP |

Keep them clean, Keep them fed, and don't drop them. Everything else works itself out.
Diaper changing is gross the 1st day after that you get use to it. |
