I played with fire and was lucky to not get burned. My thoughts were after she told me I should cheat, divorce her, and get a girlfriend because every time I touched her it made her want to throw up and she had no want or desire left for me and that I should be good to go. Is when I left. Just took forever to finish from there. FTR, we settled out of court and I never took the stand. |

Get the thing done asap. The longer it drags out, the worse it will be and the much, much, much more expensive it will be.
Once your wife realizes that she cannot control your emotions she is more likely to want to get it done. Many divorces started by women have a high level of punishment involved. They don't just want to be free, they want you to be their hostages. Fight any restraining/protective order. |

from my own situation of knocking out ho's and getting caught by the soon to exwife, she had already filed and left me. Left me as in pregnant and jumped in the car and abandoned me, never to return. She pulled this infidelity crap when custody and visitation came up and I dropped the abandonment aspect on her and the court told her to drop it and move on.

The lawyers have and will tell you no. If the divorce isn't too contentious and you remain discrete (don't rub the ex's nose in it), you'll probably be alright. This advice is worth what you paid for it.
ETA: In my case, the wife bailed and relocated out of state. The chances of running into her while out and about were slim to none. And Slim was out to lunch. |
