And do you usually give it all out? Last year I ended up eating it all. The year before I ran out.

None, almost all my neighbors are older Summer time only residents or weekenders.  Those that live here year round take their kids to the nearest town to trick or treat.  Last two years I had no one show up and was eating candy until Spring and I rarely if ever buy candy to eat.

Half of which will be gone before Halloween.

What y'all have parents coming door to door asking why little Johnny got sick from eating so much candy and they're accusing you of tampering with the candy and threating to sue too?

Or is it the dumbass teens and college kids showing up?

Got a big bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Kit Kats, Heath Bars and Milk Duds.

I should probably buy candy that I hate since I can't stay out of the leftovers.

As I've done since 1997, I give out Cyalume chemlights instead of candy. The kiddos love them, and it makes me happy to help keep the kiddos safe

When bought in bulk, brand name Cyalumes are well under a buck a piece. We typically go through 250-300 of them.

It's always easy to tell which groups of kids have been to my house-the neighborhood looks like the Ho Chi Minh trail at night.

ETA: You can Google this for the best prices: Cyalume 6-inch Green 12-hour Chemlights, NSN 6260-01-074-4229

Spent $100 yesterday at Sam's on the cheapest stuff they had. It will go the farthest and you will be less tempted to eat it.

We live down a private dead end gravel road out in the country and have never had a trick or treater in twenty years.

But, I have a bag each of Snickers, Twix, and Mr. Goodbars.  I know someone will eat them!

Only the best!

1. Set out a big bowl of candy on the front porch, mostly candy bars.

2. Go to my brothers house for the evening. (a long standing tradition)

3. Come back home to find most all the candy is still there as we have very few children come by.

4. ??

5. All the candy bars are now belongs to me!
