True confessions time. We've all seen them. The classic must have firearms. Then you bought one and went, huh? What's so great about this?
I'll start. Winchester 94. Owned two them, a 30/30 and 45 Colt. Neither was very accurate, both kicked harder than they should have. Sold them both and never looked back Remington 870. Owned two of these as well. An Express and Police Magnum. They dont' fit me. With slugs the recoil is beyond punishing. As bird guns they are no better than meh. Don't miss either one. SIG 220 in 45. I really wanted to like this pistol. I lusted after one for years. But a 45 with a high bore axis and light weight was simply no fun to shoot. Hogue grips helped tame the beast but it was never a comfortable pistol for me. Yours? |

Sig 228
FNP 9mm Beretta Storm FN FAL/SA-58 - I liked it, but not enough to keep it. |

Galil. Always wanted one and got a chance to shoot one....I shot about five rounds, literally went, "Meh...." put it down and lost complete interest.

Shotguns. I don't have one and I have no intention of getting one. I guess I just don't care for them. I guess if ak's belong in the trash shotguns belong in the recycle bin.

Glocks, Ergos suck for me and I got tired of trying to train around that
Sigs, DA/SA and I ride the slide lock losing last round hold open benefit S&Ws, Triggers suck on the M&Ps, they feel cheap and shoddily made |
|
Super 90, I bought one, sold it and .....bought another............sold it.
|
|
Glock 23. It might grow on me though now that I fixed the extractor issue I was having. Last time I shot it I couldn't hit a damn thing with it though
|

Glocks.
Yes, I know, they are awesome guns and extremely, extremely reliable. I am not being sarcastic - I really do know, understand, and agree with this. Sorry, I just don't like them. It's just me. I'm not going to change. I should like them, but I don't, and never will. Oh well. ETA: P.S. I don't like AKs either. Yes I know. Same concept as the Glock - a very rugged and reliable firearm that I probably SHOULD like. Same problem for me: I just don't like them. |

Glocks, M1 Garands, Ruger 10/22, almost all Marlins. They are great, I just don't have any interest in them.

I agree with your Winchester 94 def. However I still have mine... why, I don't know
Sig 239. That one I did get rid of. |

AR-15's. I know, I know. Never owned one but shot several, Bushmaster, DPMS, Colt, with optics, without optics, Aimpoint/ACOG/Scope, what have you. I just cannot get into them. I think it's a fine weapon, I really do, but I always end up going back to my AK's.
Ruger SP-101 in .22lr. Got it for a song right when the new batch started hitting shelves, it shot everything I had, shot accurately enough but.. I just did not enjoy shooting it, and could not make myself shoot it enough to break it in. |

Glocks. I've tried a couple, bought one, just can't get that feel, bro.

PMR30, got one during the panic for a decent price with an Insight X2 laser/light, kept the light and sold that plasticy thing.
CZ75, always thought I wanted one, and finally got one, sold it a few weeks later, I guess if it was a BD, maybe I would have kept it. Kimber 1911, traded it for a Springfield Compact Stainless, which I am considering selling since I picked up my G21 Stevens 311 double barrel, I thought I wanted one, got it, sold it a few months later, meh. Now i'm thinking about getting one again, this time short barrel |

For me it was the Colt Cobra. Many of the pictures gave me movement near the zipper . Finally got one and thought it would replace my Mod. 37 Smith as an EDC. It was just enough too big that it was uncomfortable to carry. The lightweight aluminum frame made it uncomfortable in recoil with the stock two finger wood grips. Add money for Pachmeyer stocks and it was now even bigger. Decided to sell it and couldn't find a buyer. Finally took a loss in a cash + SKS deal and couldn't be happier to be rid of it.

XD's.
I know there supposed to be great, affordable pistols but I can't get past the looks (especially the compact) and the made in Croatia. Win 12 I just don't get it. Weatherby's There not even a damn manufacturer! Its a frigging trademark name. I don't understand their following, high prices, rediculous proprietary calibers and don't even get me started on the whole vanguard /Howa shit! |
