Anyone with an Apple that upgrades as soon as they release a new version of their OS deserves exactly what they get.

.xx is a minor update and really shouldn't fuck anything up but for as for Apple, "think different"

Wait until 11 is released, that's when shit really flies.

OS XI will never happen... It's been "OS X" since 1999/2001! I mean if they were going to do a new version, they would have done it now.

but but, apple just works. new ios 7 made my iphone 4 unusable. slow, laggy, unresponsive, random crashes. I know is an old phone, but it was just fine before the update. ios 7 made my ipad 2 slow down some as well. I'm entrenched with the apps I use and apple still has the best exchange server interface so now I have to upgrade my phone.

Parallels was a bit wonky, and the office Auto update is not working.

it also seems a bit slower and sluggish.

That's not just a wise rule for Apples.  That goes for any piece of software on any machine.

Would you mind elaborating on Parallels wonkiness?

My computer use is so basic, I don't think I've ever felt that I needed to do an upgrade.

I'm content to let all the "power users" work out the kinks.

I think that if you upgrade to Parallels 9 it may help you if you want to run 10.9.  I am still on Parallels 8. I have Parallels 9 and I waiting for all the early adapters to find the bugs before I upgrade...

I'll go ahead and try to grab Mavericks today then. I'm on the latest version of parallels. Worst case I have to go Bootcamp for awhile. Thanks for the input gang.

It's a pretty large update, yet I like the way it's kind of understated. Once it's downloaded, it pretty much just starts without a lot of the usual hullabaloo; "Bienvenue.... Wilkommen... Welcome...".

PS No problems here. I like it.

They should do like Windows guys and wait for at least 3 service packs first.

Just upgraded yesterday and no problem.

I came here (again) to mention that mine is still working beautifully.

It really is a nice upgrade. I'm really digging it, and I didn't really have any major complaints with Mountain Lion.

So, apparently, shutting it down, and letting it sit for a day, seems to solve the problem. I'm back online, baby!

And everything's pretty snappy.

Been using this for 3 days now, seems solid.  Fixed my MBP's wireless issues where the connection would randomly drop out and reset.   Happy with it.
