I always carry a pistol when I'm hunting for BS like that. I've had some sketchy run ins with weirdos and poachers. Of all the times to be without a sidearm, hunting should not be one of them.

Should have charged him with attempted murder x2, and illegal use of lead shot to take Waterfowl. Fuck minor charges make sure this nut job spends the rest of his days behind bars. I always carry a sidearm when hunting you never know what kind of nut job you may run into.

So the guy already displayed the fact that he's mental and an irresponsible firearm owner subject violent outbursts. Why isn't the state taking a harder line with him? Sounds they're alright with crazy hippies having guns.
He admits he was shooting in the air in their direction. Sounds like he was trying to arc some shot at them. At 1:18 "I don't like to see things die" (unless they disagree with my views). Reminds me of the Greenpeace nut job that fucked with the Caribou hunters a few years back. It was 98 or 99 in AK and a bunch ecofags were harassing Caribou hunters. Question for the guys that carry a sidearm while hunting. Unless you're using a bow, or shotgun with birdshot, what is the point of having a pistol on you? Using any rifle is more effective then any handgun.

While in the field, I always have a handgun and an AR on me whether I am hunting or not.
If that happened in Nevada and the old coot (no pun intended) got ventilated it would be classified as self-defense. He should have a mental evaluation and lose his gun rights. Some people just have no respect for human life.
