I have a good friend that lives in Toronto. I sent him an e-mail this morning about the election, the success of the Republican party, and the Glorious Days that are ahead. He sent me back some stuff about the current state of Canadian politics and I thought you guys would find it interesting....
Seriously tho, that is pretty amazing news. God knows we could use that kind
of unity behind a conservative right wing party up here :) In fact it is
just about the exact opposite. For the last 9 years the right wing vote has
been split between the traditional "Progressive Conservative" party and the
newly formed slight more right leaning "Canadian Alliance Party" (originally
called the Reform Party). That means that our Pinko Left wing Liberal party
has been able to sweep the last 2 Federal elections practically unopposed
despite having an illiterate 99 year old retarded Frenchman for a leader. In
the mean time they have stuck us with a second 7% Federal "Goods and
Services" tax on just about every purchase imaginable, enacted a ton of
incredibly expensive and pointless gun control that has done nothing but
punish legal gun owners, and embarrass us on the international stage any
time our blundering leader decides to attend an international function. It
bloody depressing. In fact he is such a moron that we made some history
ourselves this week. The PM tried to pass some new legislation and his own
party refused to back him and vetoed it. They were saying on the news that
this is the first time a Canadian PM has lost control of his own caucus :)
Congratulations on having your political shit together. God knows if ours
will ever be in any sort of respectable condition :(
