I just came home with a NIB Gen4 G26. It had been on my wish list. There wasn't anything else on the shelf that really jumped out at me - I was keeping an eye out for an M&Pc - so... there it is.

Was it an impulse buy? Sure.

Do I feel guilty? Not at all.

So you bought a lot of alcohol last night and drank too much of it? Got it.

Careful there.  I don't drink.  Haven't had a drink in 23 years.

If I bought anything it was a cab ride to the Doctor's office and lot's of club soda.
The doctor said it's some kind of food poisoning.  I can't do much about it other then to barf a lot and wait for it to pass.

I put my considerable WWI and WWII documentary collection on shuffle and stayed in bed.

I'm sorry to hear that. I love the M&P series. They fit me better than any other pistol I have ever owned.

Put an Apex kit in them, and - to me - it's like Excalibur.

A large plate of food at an Indian buffet. The Indian owner of the restaurant is more of a patriot than half of America.

He has a picture of Ronald Reagan on the wall by the cash register. He likes to talk to his TV when the news is on.

"Syria has always been a problem, you cannot help these people. If you try, they will only hate you for it."

He told my son to "keep a small circle of close friends because people get crazier every day. If you don't know them well, they will not do you well"

He's a bit loony at times, but he's great.

Can we not call it Patriot Day? What happened 12 years ago has nothing to do with Patriots or Patriotism. It's trite, and cheapens the day of remembrance.
