That should be one big settlement. Yeah, I know the Trooper won't pay. He should be fired, and charged with vehicular assault or something,

Ten full seconds from impact to the car stopping. The first half of which the car looks like the cruise was set and just kept right on going. Guess it takes awhile to look up from whatever was more important than the road.

Why the hell did it take him so long to stop afterward?
Was the bike stopped in the road?

Texting or playing with the computer I'll bet. Dumb fuck. He'll get tie off with pay while they investigate.

Barring new info that I doubt is coming, that looks jail worthy.

Vehicular assault? Wat? I have seen way worse... and all they got was a traffic ticket. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Too bad there was no camera showing what he was doing instead of watching the road.

Dude must have been drunk or high, how can it take that damn long to stop after you rear end another vehicle?

Do not check CAD notes, or type up your report while you are on the interstate.

We have a local guy who did until he moved up to detective. Third generation cop and it was passed from his grandfather to his father to him. Only one I've ever seen. |

The taxpayers will be punished big time for that one .
-Speeding to fast for conditions (over driving headlights), failure to use emergency lighting if speeding for a reason. -Driving while distracted (or sleeping). -Failure to yield for slower moving vehicle in the right lane. -Failure to maintain safe distance between vehicles. -Should have been put in restraints (for his own protection) and taken away to have blood forcibly drawn, same as he would do to any other citizen for much lesser reasons. |

2012 "Trooper of The Year"
ETA: "OSP Sgt. Paul Lezoff said Trooper Daymon was clearly upset and traumatized and will be able to take personal leave if he needs time to recover mentally and physically from the accident" Meanwhile the female passenger was Life Flighted out of there. Also, it seems the dash cam video was only released after a law suit was filed... by a news organization. http://www.wlwt.com/news/local-news/after-lawsuit-cruiser-cam-video-released-from-trooper-involved-accident/-/9837878/21859906/-/fpygrkz/-/index.html |

View Quote if the cop had driven another 10 seconds he probably could have been arrested for hit and run... those bikers are very lucky to be out of the hospital already ( as opposed to the morgue). |
