I thought delta rails weren't stable enough to mount front sights?

Love my RRA. It has functioned flawlessly. I don't put thousands down range but it has never missed a beat with every type of cheap ammo.

Guns not made with iron sights in mind. It is "optics ready."

With this you would sight in your RDS then sight in your BUIS using your that.

it's $1085 so people can buy a proper FF rail once they know what they want I guess, the low pro gas block is already there...

Maybe its designed to be used with an ACOG and no need for irons?

I don't know about RRA's rails, but I do have a set of Armalyte delta rails that lock up really solid and do not move, so far as I can tell.

For BUIS use, they are probably solid enough "for approximate use". One of these days, when I get the time, I'll throw a MBUS on it and do some testing.

Lots if rifles are sold with no iron sights, optics only.

Yeah I know, but most of em either have a picatinny gas block that can mount a sight or the barrel is floated. As to it being a host for a longer FF hand guard,...why make a delta rail system standard equipment when plastic is cheaper?

I know the military used delta rails to mount infrared lasers and such, so maybe they are stable enough for front sights also.

I have a 6 year old Rock River and it's always been reliable and accurate. I think they have really dropped the ball on their new furniture though. The guns seem really cheap looking, when they used to be one of the nicest looking AR variants.
