I'm not generally a fan of the "transposition" scenarios, where they move scenes from plays into modern settings, and this film is odd in that respect.

But its so dark... you have to enjoy it.

Bob Hoskins' Iago in "Othello" has the most malicious chuckle I have ever heard. Very good one to see.

Also one of his most chilling villains. He causes a man to kill his wife, goads him with lies that cause jealousy till he destroys his wife and himself.

Why? Not for succession, nor power, nor fame or fortune.

Because he's amused by it.
