HOLY COW, I never thought in a million years that he could win (I still went out and voted for him though!)

this is great, it just shows how much people hate davis, Simon basically did no advertising and he is still ahead.

GO SIMON!!!!!!!!!

Paul is right. Once LA and SF are counted, the score will change dramatically.

Regardless of who wins, that fact that Davis doesn't win by a wide margin in such a heavily Democratic state means that his political career is over.

Yeah, his presidential ambitions have surely been shot to hell, but he has done that with his record.  He is a true POS.  He will pull it out probably by 5 percentage points or so, but that is much less than he was claiming.

Well, I guess it shows that you can screw with peoples rights, but not their (electric) power...

Woha! Where are you guys getting these numbers?

Every time the ticker gets to California on Fox News Channel it shows Simon about 4 points behind. What is up?

Just reported on the radio, Simon ahead by 1%.

Also, AG Lockyear is ahead by a good margin. Yuk.

I take it back. Fox just covered it. They say its 46% to 46% right now in CA.

I wish things were going that well here in AZ. Matt Salmon is at last word trailing by 14,000 votes with only 20% of precints-plus about 130,000 early ballots-still to count.

looks really close, any ideas of if they have gotton most of the votes from the liberal cities like LA and San Fran those could kill simon?

Voted Simon today (would have voted 3rd party but I want Davis out) – talked a few others into doing the same.  Voted 3rd party on everything else.  With how bad Davis handled the power crises I’m surprised he’s still in the race.

I voted for Simon as well but fear that Paul is right.  Californistani elections are famous for late surprises.  I'm amazed that Simon is looking as good as he is in the early count.

If something looks too good to be true, it probably is.

On second thought:  Even though they'll probably prevail, the fear that the enemy is feeling right now makes it all worthwhile.  I'm glad I voted.

LA has 3.5million registered voters, and they really don't get their count on till about 11-11:30pm

We're screwed. Up until the Bay Area and LA results were in, the Republicans were kicking butt. Now that 95% of the results are in, the Demos soundly defeated the Republicans on almost every front, as expected.

The Republicans don't deserve to win. Their campaigns have been poor for the past decade and their candidates weak. Until they get their shit together, the dems will continue to own this state.

BTW, when I mean soundly defeated, I mean soundly defeated! In some areas of the Bay Area, the demo candidates got 75%-80% of the vote! The Republicans will never attain that level of support, never.
