Never explained in the movie, but in the comic he hung onto the periscope.
I know U-Boats mostly traveled on the surface, but, wow. Anyway, still a fantastic movie. K |

Those U-Boats were diesel/electric. They ran on batteries when submerged, which was slow, so they tended to run on the surface using the diesel unless spotted by a plane. Plus, it's a movie. |

Quite possibly one of the greatest movies of all time in tone and appearance. Watched it again last night with my 5 year old. A few questions. How could the people responsible for this also have made Temple of Doom and Crystal Skull? Why did he run from the boulder? If he had just stopped it would have went right by him. Why was there a 2 seater plane waiting for him, but there were 4 people in his party originally? Why does his student have "Love You" on her eyelids? Why does a college classroom have a bell? Was that a man or woman that Marion drank under the table? Why would you start out with a custom 1917, a and a Browning HiPower, then regress back to a freakin' Webley? What kind of airplane did they blow up, and where exactly were the Nazi's going to put the Ark in it? He rode the Uboat all that way? |

He probably met them somewhere in the jungle right before the movie starts, but that doesn't explain why the plane was fairly close to the temple thing. |

Well, yeah, but if they had posted lookouts Indy would have had to swim and the Nazis would have had to wait forever before they could get started. Eventually played Doctor Octopus in spider man 2 and several other interesting roles. |

after you hang onto the hot exhaust of a truck you can hang onto virtually anything. Plus they cut the scene where he shoved a bunch of straws into his pocket to make a breathing tube.
Watch - Dogs of War - same ship, same crew Bellock was in that as well. Smart producers shoot 2 movies at the same time. |
