My friend's 12 year old son collapsed on the football practice field yesterday evening and was taken to the hospital with a brain bleed. All we know right now is he has 50 cent sized bleed on the top of his brain. He is under heavy sedation to prevent siezures and is scheduled for a scan with dye this morning.

He is a sweet kid, always respectful and polite. He's active in sports and 4-H and a shooter and hunter. He just shot in the state 4-H trapshoot a couple of weekends ago. Their family owns an excavating company and he goes to work with his grandad in the summer and runs a D7 dozer and operates a big track hoe. His dad, uncle and grandad are my best friends, our families are very close. They are people we hunt, shoot and prep with. We also restore old tractors and do old thresher shows together as a group. We are always helping and doing things for each other.

I've been talking and texting with his grandma all night and am going to try to get off early this afternoon and go to the hospital. I'll try to update this post as I find out more. Please put him in your prayers. If you belong to any prayer groups, please put him on your lists. If you don't pray, please send some positive thought his way. His name is Jacob.

Prayer sent. My son is 14 and just had his first Freshmen football game last night. They crushed the other guys 28-0. I can't imagine seeing him lying in a hospital bed.
