The 6.7 just wasn't enough for my taste, so I bumped it a little with the addition of the rather compact LM5000. I think with this power boost I will be able to hit those speeds I want to achieve on the highway. The only down side I am really seeing is the 35 gallons per min fuel economy may limit my range. I won't let that hold me back though since I plan on turning the entire bed into a fuel tank so I can get to work.

Behold...

At 35 gallons per minute, I'm thinking you'll still be getting pretty good mileage.

Where do you find such awesomeness?  Where would one source a small turbine that could possibly be actually utilized?

There have been a few people use the smaller jet engines on vehicles. I think the small jet engines  were used as APUs or starters. New or used I would imagine a working jet engine would be damned expensive.

Also, SHENANIGANS!

The LM5000 produces 34,451 kW which goggle says is only 46,199.552 hp.

With that much power, the 35 gallons per minute might tranlate into a fairly decent MPG

35 x 6.7 = 234.5 x 60 =  14070 lbs per hour.

Not an expert on that type, but that sounds like an awful lot (?)       And no, it would't give you good mileage even at 600 mph.
