All I can say is...
Is that the 370z looks far better in appearance from my perspective...and it has more horsepower than the 350. Barely enough horsepower to stay relevant I might add. No, unfortunely the 370z does NOT have a backseat. That was the main reason I picked up a Camaro SS instead. My babyseat fits perfectly back there. 
All the 350z's I've seen the back slopes down and then sticks out about 10-12". I'm thinking maybe hers is the 370z. Nope that would be the 370. The tail lights & head lights are the easiest way to tell the difference. 370z

In that case, I agree, I think the 370 looks much better. However, certain aspects of it comes close to looking like a cheap Tiburon.

In any case, these Nissans seem to hold their resale value very well....I wouldn't hesitate to pick one up. The only thing that doesn't sit well with me, is you don't get alot horsepower for the price you pay. But at least you get a well made sports car. Another car you might want to look at....is the Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2.0T. Another sexy affordable asian sports car.

The 350Z is already very dated looking
The 370Z is A LOT better. Lower, wider, faster. Kind of has the same shape as a 911. I had one for 4 years. 370z has no back seats. There is a rear storage compartment in the hatch but it's not that big at all. |

I used to have an 06 350z, and if you can be happy with the low HP it might be okay for you. The other thing to consider is the amount of money you have to throw at those cars to make them decent. It has a V6 and bolt on mods don't really give much hp for the money, the engines are also weak and can't handle forced induction with out being built and properly tuned $$$.

Why are you asking this here and not on my350z.com or 370z.com? I am a Nissan/Infiniti fanboy and to save you the time and trouble ill tell you to get a 370 all day long. The 370z has an engine that is a generation newer, produces substantial more power with a flatter powerband,revs higher, are lighter (in most cases), has auto rev (really cool, plus defeatable), and look better IMHO.

I drove a 2003 350Z Track model until 2011.
As far as insurance goes, of course the 350 is cheaper. They don't make it anymore so the set of cars to contribute to statistics is smaller. The 350 was also a fairly cheap car when it came out so it should be cheaper to repair and replace which also leads to lower insurance rates. My take is this: in 2005 or so, the 350z got a motor refresh which gave it a little more power. If you can get the updated motor in the 350Z body, that is the way to go. By the time Nissan made the 370Z, it gained too much weight to be a serious driver's car. This is especially true if you consider the brakes, which have long been criticized in the 370. A_Deuce |

Then I hit the gas on my 2013 Accord V6 and I don't miss her so much.  And I can carry 5 adults inside too... And all my toys in the trunk.

An original Z is cooler but if you want a car to actually daily drive...get a modern one. I love old iron but am not stupid enough to depend on it nor drive it in all weather.
I wish I lived somewhere that the flow of traffic was too fast for a 155ish mph car. It won't win bench racing but is certainly quick enough to be fun.It will never be a classic like the S30 but that's OKAY,you won't feel bad about using it. |

The 370 needs a turbo. For the cash there are way better deals. The engine sounds like a cement mixer at high revs.

I miss my 350Z roadster. It was a really fun little car to drive, It was really small inside though and did pretty bad on fuel. The newer 370Z is a big improvement if you can get over the ugly catfish mouth front styling.
Be wary of the brakes, they are not very good in the 370Z if you are hard on them and tracking the car. One of the mags, MT/C&D I cannot remember which wrecked their test car because the brakes failed and that was the upgraded Nizmo model. Nissan offers an upgraded brake setup on the sport models for $500 or so. Reliability wise it was 100%, aftermarket parts where a bit pricey though. |

I've spent a lot of time driving 350Z's, both hard top and convertible. My takeaway from them is that they are pretty fun, stiff, decently ballsy, loud, a bit on the fat side and a little unrefined. If I were looking for a 2-seater convertible for under 10k, I'd get a 350Z. It wouldn't snap your neck, but it definitely was fun to drive, no doubt about that. The styling is fairly aggressive (imo) and there's a pretty decent aftermarket on it. The car is also pretty easy to work on--done a clutch, exhaust, upper control arms, and a few other things on them before and it was no harder than doing it on a Mustang.

I had 2 350Zs (one S/C) and a 370Z. If I could do it all over again I would get an STi. I found the 370 to have even worse visibility and road noise for a marginal at best increase in performance. Brake issues abound, and I didnt like the fact that they skimped on the oil cooler, making it too easy to over heat and go into limp mode. IMO if you are set on a Z would be to try and find a nice Z with the HR motor in it which, also in my opinion, is the high point of the line.

Ive never heard of brake issues with mine but it was a sport package. OP if you want a 370 make sure it has the sport package. Edit Quoted:

If I were you, I might hold out for a GT-R. I mean if I had my whole life and career ahead of me. Hey, they're practically giving them away (for money) LOL. I also have some "Z" brochures at home. If you want them, I'll bring them in. I looked at one the same day I bought my truck. I looked at the price tag and said to myself, "Hey, I can afford that!"
