I really like my SL8 too...The think is a rock-solid tack driver! Your wife must be getting ready to kill something...is that her finger on the trigger???? |

Nice rifle, your wife is a class act (not to mention a good sport-didn't you get her to pose in a halloween costume with an AR before).
Is that the official HK Moose attachment? Gun Tests gave this rifle the nod over a Bushmaster varmiter and another AR rifle (can't remember what) a few months ago. |

[red]- Did you do any mods to yours?[/red]No, but I did get a few extra mags for it on Ebay for about $25/ea. Might do the mod someday.
[red]- What kind of accuracy can I expect with the SL8 vs. my AR's?[/red]Well, I have not put a scope on mine yet, but out-of-the-box, with my bad eyes, using the stock plastic sitghts I was getting about 1" groups at 50yards. My AR, which is completely sub-moa, does about the same when I use steel sights. [red]- How hard is it to strip/clean?[/red]The gun should have came with a tool..It is really easy to take apart...Only bitch is unscrewing the two screws that holds on the butt/trigger group assembly. Gas system comes apart really easy. There is NO black gunk in the receiver when you get done shooting...All exhaust gases go out the front of the gun, under the handguards at the gas piston. It is a REALLY clean gun to shoot =) Only bad thing..It kicks a little more than an AR, which is no big deal! |

I got an SL8 that I want to sell if anyone is interested ($1200.00 delivered to the FFL of your choice)...H&K sling, Night sights & an extra G36 handguard. I shot maybe 50 rounds threw it. The bitch about owning an AR-15 company, is you can't shoot other guns in public without people reading something into it.
