Now we'll just ignore the fact the Reps created the Patriot Act, DHS, and TSA. I don't think any libertarians actually believe that the Reps are the Same as the Dems. Libertarians tend to vote Republican almost elusively except in the rare circumstance that a libertarians is actually on a ballot. But I do believe they are not nearly different enough. There does seem to be a number of dim Republicans who can't distinguish between a Libertarian and a Liberal despite the fact that Liberals always advocate state solutions to all of societys ills while Libertarians see the state as the last worst solution in almost every instance. The biggest difference between the Dems and Reps, is that Republicans tend to be highly nationalist while still being all too statist, while Dems tend to be internationalist, apparently possessing too much statism for just one state! 
So yes, I prefer nationalist statism over internationalism. But I'd rather no statism at all. Now, if there is some prize for excessive usage of he word "state" you can PM me for my address. |
