I saw the message on the main AR15.com page encouraging us to send a message of encouragement/support to Bushmaster after this sniper incident.

I think I have a better idea:

Buy something! [:)]

I'm going to pick up a few spare parts and extra cleaning brushes off their web page.

I've been thinking about an extra upper receiver too.....

I'm looking for an excuse to buy another AR, I think I want a Pre-ban though, I like the functional collapsable stock, but is it really worth an extra thousand bucks??[rolleyes]

Once I get the cash I'm building another AR from all bushmaster parts.

Probably going with muzzle brake-less M4 A3 upper with a skeleton stock.  Probably will get the wilson combat muzzle brake that looks more like a flash supressor.

Are they ever going to make an M4 upper without that stinking, ear shattering muzle brake? They need to pay Kurt to make them some.

Done, ordered ~$110 yesterday, got a shipping confirmation this morning.

I also included a short note for them to hand in there, that American gun owners supported them.

Regards,

Merlin

I ordered 3 10-round mags as support for them. This is a good company.

I'm gonna be poor for a few more years, but a new upper is on my list.

No, collapsible stocks are interesting but not worth the extra money.

If you want to try a muzzle break that works without blowing out your ears, try the AK styles mb that bushmaster makes. I have one and it works extremely well without the added racket.

My kit rifle projects will always start with a Bushy lower. They are the best.

The dealer I traded had 995.00 on his. It cost me 275.00 and one of the best shooting pistols I have ever owned.

I sure wish they would.  The mini-y looks cool and works well, but I hate all the noise and I can tell the other shooters at the range don't like feeling the blast of all my shots.

Right now it looks like for an M4 upper its mini-y or nothing.  I'm going with nothing then getting a Cav-comp -> http://www.cavalryarms.com/accessories.htm

THOUSAND BUCKS??????  Let's see.  $1300 or so minus $700 or so does not come out to $1000 last time I checked.

I won't buy a Bushmaster as I prefer ArmaLite/Eagle Arms, but I would offer encouragement and would even donate to some of kind of defense fund if needed.

I was on the Bushmaster web site yesterday looking for AR-15 (XM-15) parts.  I want to buy some parts for a small field repair kit, extractor, springs, etc.  Do they sell this stuff, I couldn't find it on their site?

YES it is....wait a minute, $1,000 bucks?  Where'd you get that number?

I don't think its worth it.  Especially when you'll be able to pick them cheaper in a couple of years (after the ban expires).

As much as I'd LOVE for you to be right, the odds are not in our favor.  Don't plan your AR purchases on it.
