I had my doubts about Miller but he was just fine . I hate Madden . Just like Joe Theisman on ESPN . Damn Know it all's .
I never had a problem with Frank or AL but I didn't care for Dan Deirdorf . |

MADDEN!! A thousand times over, MADDEN!
I like him. He talks football and seems to have a genuinely good time. To me, he just talks about the game and the players and coaches. I don't get the feeling his ego has anything to do with what he says. Miller on the other hand, came across as if every word was calculated to make himself look cool and smart and hip. Madden just has fun with the game. BAM! |

Madden makes me ill. If I have to sit through another damn sixtyeight legged turkey gag on thanksgiving I'll kill someone. Miller sucks too, but I can tune him out.

John Madden knows his football and obviously enjoys what he does. It seems that you either love him or you hate him. I'm of the former.

John Madden lives near by.
I know two guys that have done contracting work for him. One guy said they had to sign a non-discloser contract and was not allowed to talk to him,not even to greet him. JM would walk around and completely ignore him. This kinda soured me on him. Last Sunday I went hunting with another guy who has a huge ranch in the area (redneck multi-millionair)that has worked for him and he said the complete opposite about him. Maybe JM aint all that bad or maybe he treats rich people different. |

Madden over Miller definitely. John Madden talks alot but at least he knows his football. Dennis Miller came off as a Howard Cosell wannabe, full of himself and spouting $2 words and inside jokes. Al Michaels and Dan Fouts were put in the position of playing the straight guys, explaining Miller's lame jokes.
IMHO, the best MNF combo ever was Dandy Don Meredith, Frank Gifford, and Howard Cosell. [:)] |
