best: had 100 tons of rock and gravel delivered with 2 loads of dirt. Also had a couple of pallets of ornamental rock delivered for landscaping. i had to hire a dozer to do prep and a skid steer to do finish work. finished all with crossties that were fastened in securely via rebar. Redid 1/4 mile of my driveway with fresh rock. Had dozer take out trees that were dying and threatening my cabin. Looks great now.
worst: 3k dollar check |
|

Best and worst was my neck therapy. Best, as in it seems to be working and I'm getting better. Worst, as in it still sucks and the drive home after the therapy sucks also.

Best: Freelance contract increased by 10k. For no apparent reason other than they like me. I whined a bit about how the current price might limit the "creative process."
Worst: Flipped the Iphone off the bed this morning and cracked the screen. |
|
Best: Homemade spaghetti sauce, meatballs, and a big loaf of Italian bread.
Worst: Driving. I think everyone forgot how to drive today. |

Not even a production down issue, more like a project someone has been sitting on and was looking for my team to pull them out of the fire. |
|
Worst. Giving an off her meds mentally challenged girl a ride to the ER and having her try to jump out while I was doing about 20.
Best. Watching her bite a hospital security guard and hoping it would trigger the zombie apocalypse. Yes this was work related and actually a pretty normal day. |
|
Woke up with a stiff neck.
I hit the batting cage today for the first time in years. I couldn't hit shit but my shoulder isn't killing me either. It will probably be a different story in 72 hours |

Best: Psychotic SIL and her asshole boyfriend finally got their crap (and their dog) out of my house, 2 1/2 months after they were forced to leave. They are out of my life forever.
Worst: I have to move in 5 days and must pack a 3 bedroom house in that time, all the while working my regular shifts, doctors appointments and a job interview. |
|

Worst: my truck was broken into last night.
Best: fixed the coolant leak on said truck. |
|
On the positive (fun) side today I was able to catch and remove a horse that was feasting by the creek in my back 20. Could be abandoned.
On the negative side I was attacked by hornets while on a ladder, fixing some siding on my shop. It was almost dusk and they suddenly swarmed under the metal roof edge and made me make a quick exit. |
|
Worst thing: My 7 year old had to have her 4th surgery on her right ear so docs could fix previous fuck ups.
http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk238/Quackers_album/20130726_100653.jpg Best thing: She came out of it better than she went in even though she doesn't think so. http://i281.photobucket.com/albums/kk238/Quackers_album/20130726_153640.jpg |
|
Best: I got a project at work finished in the nick of time.
Worst: I got a damn speeding ticket for the first time in 15 years on my bike, hauling ass back from lunch to finish said project FUUUUUUUUU |
|
The best - finding 500 prepped .280 Remington cases in some ammo cans in my garage. Just need to prime, add powder and seat bullets. About 100 of them are nickel plated brass.
The worst - having to explain, for the seventh time, how something works to the people who are supposed to be making decisions... |
