The fact that I have been labelled by my friends as being a beer snob, let me just say that if its a commercial beer........it probably sucks. There are exceptions though. Micro brews and imports are the way to go........even better is home brewing if you do it right.

Bottle fermented is the best. Commercial beers are filtered to remove all the yeast.......thats bad........the yeast in bottle fermented beer helps prevent hangovers. That is a good thing.

If I have a favorite (other than home brew) it would be "Wild Goose Pale Ale".........top notch, made in Maryland. But I have the recipe so I brew it myself.

Least favorite........Bud.........clydesdale piss.............if you want to taste REAL Budweisser........you need to get CHECHVAR...its the original ........called in europe....Bedwiesser Budvar.......they couldn't use the name when they imported it.

Postscript..........if your a bud fan, no flames please, because your too stupid to know real beer when you taste it.[:O]

My favorites: Black Butte Porter by Deschutes Brewery (Bend, OR), Full Sail (Hood River, OR), White Bird Wheat (Table Rock Brewery, Boise, ID...don't know if they're still in business).

Friends don't let friends drink Bud.

Whats the best kind of beer ???
   FREE BEER !!!

If I have to buy than its
1. Heineken Dark
2. Miller Genuine Draft , bottled of course .
3. Killeans Red isn't too bad .
I need to start brewing my own again .

By the way , How much beer is in the standard pitcher sold at restaurants ??
I was out with my wife (she doesn't drink )
and at Wings etc. for dinner . I ordered a pitcher of Coors light . The waitress didn't
blink an eye when I told her to only bring one mug . My wife however got piissed .
" Are you gonna drink a whole pitcher of beer "

It went down pretty good with the hot wings actually but I am unsure of the size of the mug I was using . I think I filled it 6-7 times .

My favs are Widmere Hefeweizen, Mirror pond ale, coronas, and the occasional coors or bud light.

The nations national beer companies could fold under and I would be just fine, northwest has THE BEST selection of local beers.

When I buy cases I get microbeers only pretty much. Yards, Flying Fish, Stoudts, and Victory are my favorite breweries. I can't stand mass produced beer. I think it all tastes like water.

lol i drink some of that to.. got a story to go with it to!

was at college, in the cafetria eating lunch. some instructor sees the bottle and asks what it is.. i shrug and say beer, poor instructor goes ballistic, i refuse to follow her ect. she tries to grab me and drag me. just twist and snap out of her grip. the sudden imbalance caused her to fall on her face, quite literaly. she gets up and runs off and gets some VP. bring him back, im still there, waiting just to see what sort of amusment she will provide for me. he asks, i say "Beer". he asks what kind. i say "IBC Root Beer". he asks why i didnt tell her. told him, none of her damn biz. he just looks at her and gives her that "come with me look" i give her that "got ya" look.

never claimed to be nice all the time ;)

anyhow as to what beers,
Molson Ice, Mic Honeylager. might go get a 6pack of sam adams to try.

fact is drinking a molson now.

I think that is a mental thing. If you poured a bottled beer and a canned beer in 2 seperate glasses you would not be able to taste the difference.

Lately I am trying not to buy beer from countries that appease terrorism.  So German, Canadian, and French beers are out, but Australian, British, or US beers are fine.  I notice that lately both Fosters and Bass have been really cheap at my bulk liquor store.

Also, no beers from California!

So many good ones already listed, but for me -
I love the dark beers.
For me, if you can see sunlight through it - it's to lite for me to drink...
If anybody from the KC area is here... Barleys in Overland Park, 99 taps on the wall, "Shunganuga" is my favorite - takes 'bout 5 minutes to drop one in a glass!!!
Otherwise, any good stout works for me!!!
