I guess Congress really hates strippers, except for John McCain. He may be a liberal douchebag, but he does support tipping strippers with large denomination bills.
Where does the hive stand on the $1 bill going away? (CNN) – If Congress passes the COINS Act replacing the $1 paper bill for a coin, the U.S. government may be able to save billions in printing costs at the expense of a little more jangle in the average consumers' pockets. But what about the strippers? That's what The Hill newspaper asked one of the bill's co-sponsors, Sen. John McCain, in a piece published Thursday. The question came from a separate 2011 story where the publication suggested strippers could suffer in a bill-less economy, with G-strings and garter belts far less accommodating of cold metal. ... In Germany strip bars have ATMs and exchanges in the front where you can turn euros into "stripper dollar". On your way back out, you get any left over dollars changed back. There is never a markup and it is always 1:1, at least all the places I have been there. The sandwich truck guy that drove around base would take them instead of euros as well.

Why are liberals so enamored with the idea of a dollar coin?
I mean shit, we have tried this what, 3-4 times now and it is always a big, fat, fail. They just cannot stand that we don't have a dollar coin and all the eursocialist countries do. High speed rail, nationalized healthcare, a dollar coin and soccer = shit that Euros have that Americans don't want. |

Before I moved from Canada, I may or may not have seen strippers do very interesting things with $1 and $2 dollar coins.......

I lived in England when the went from Pound notes to coins. It sucked. You ended up with so many coins in your pocket, you had to put some on each side to keep from walking in circles.

I hope you guys keep your $1 bills. I can't stand £1 coins. They weigh my wallet down with all the bulk so I just put them in a drawer when I get home everyday.
On the plus side I went though the drawer last week and found £48 in 1 pound coins

It isn't hard to get the public to accept dollar coins. Just mint them out of a metal that has value and there will be strong demand for them. Oh, that's right... we can't mint those kinds of coins for circulation because our government has devalued our currency. Maybe John McCain should focus on that first, instead of coming up with another worthless clad coin that no one will want.
