Go to Google Maps and look at Satellite view of Moses Lake, WA.
What is the deal with all the giant green circles? Educate a Midwest city boy.. Sod Farms? with an irrigation systems on a single pivot point? Aliens? I can't think of a reasonable answer. (I told you it was a stupid question  )

Most of the crops grown here in IL I've never seen use an irrigation system.
The few times I have seen crop irrigation systems, the were more like straight line overhead systems that I *think* are on some kind of rail system. I honestly had never heard of pivot point irrigation. Learn something new every day.
