A lot of them do. I'd say most of them will at some point.

I had no idea until I became friends with a group of African girls. They are all about weaves and wigs and extensions and all that stuff. I guess doing that stuff with their hair naturally is a huge pain in the ass.

Funny thing, years ago, I'd take the kids a good bit;
The youngest asked "WHY isn't there any black people at the dirt track (next door) and it's mostly black people at the dragstrip?"

Actually, I don't even take my wife or daughter with us to the drag strip anymore, as the language and behavior is THAT bad.
