i'd watch "The Wolverine" because they finally tossed in The SIlver Samurai into the mix (played by WIn Yun Lee (whoe played Colonel Tan-Sun Moon in "Die Another Day" and Marek in the "Total Recall" remake)).

Is this the same Jack Ryan that didn't know Russian's don't take dumps without plans? I thought he was just a paper pushing analyst that needs to put shit in "a god damn memo"

Although it won't be released until 2015 I am glad to see they are making a movie about Thunder Run, a real heroic story of the Iraq invasion by the "Rock of the Marne".

Thunder Run (2015)

The dangerous and bloody capture of Baghdad by American Forces at the onset of the Iraq War.
Director: Simon West

Stars: Gerard Butler, Matthew McConaughey, Sam Worthington, Raza Jaffrey

If I heard right it's also based on the Frank Miller Mini series from the 80's which was pretty darn good.  The Silver Samurai wasn't featured in that mini series but was in the X-Men follow up around issue 172 or 173 I think.   Yeah, I was that kid.

Hell yeah!
Hopefully they'll get Army cooperation so they don't have to rely on too much CGI.

Ben Affleck playing Jack Ryan made as much sense as featuring Barney (the purple one) in a Jurassic Park sequel.

Smaug is a definite go for me, another shameless J.R.R.Tolkein fan.
I'll reserve opinion on the new JR movie, seeing as how Hollyweird continually screws up films such as this.

More like upper/elite class using their subjects as slaves and for entertainment purposes, and the subjects rise up against the tyrannical government.

I liked the first Thor movie a lot. I'd never been into the comic book character, but Branagh did a good job as director with walking the line between not taking the subject matter too seriously, but not making a joke of it either.

I despise Mark Ruffalo's politics, but I thought he was a fantastic Bruce Banner in The Avengers. I'd like to see them do a Hulk film that didn't suck (although the Edward Norton Hulk reboot wasn't bad).

So, I'm in for Thor and The Hobbit.

I liked Ruffalo's part a lot too ...I think the entire cast of The Avengers was excellent .....in fact it easily gets my vote as best 'super-hero movie' , so far .

There were so many quips and snips by the crew that I had to watch it a second time , just to be able to see what I'd missed by laughing ....'puny god' and Hulk's smashing of Loki , STILL cracks me up...I was literally in tears when I first saw it

Im sure the fact that Joss Whedon was running the show had a lot to do with it  .
