Congrats! My wife is due tomorrow (baby girl ) it's like walking on egg shells around here she really could come at any time. Hope all goes well for you guys and it's a smooth delivery!

Hospital paged the midwife, waiting on a call back. Wife would rather labor here than hospital for as long as possible.

Awesome. It can take a while. OTOH, it can go really, really quickly!

How far from the hospital are you? If close, you're gtg unless the kiddo's crowing. If you're about an hour away, wait until she can't walk anymore, and then load up and go.

If it progresses REALLY fast, DO NOT go in your car. Call an ambulance. They WILL pop full cherry for a woman in labor, since no paramedics like delivering a baby in the back of a truck.
