I have been dreading the day that he would call and give me the horrific news...  Well, it came yesterday!  [xx(]

This morning while talking with our accountant at work (different guy), it was suggested that I find a viable way to write off my firearms, in leiu of having actual dependants.

I called my accountant and mentioned this to him...  his immediate response was to claim them as dependants!

AR -- he's 15[/*]

Mini -- he's 14[/*]

A.K. -- my older "slow" brother, he's 47[/*]
Ain't life grand!  [:D]

Most of my firearms purchases are of WW II vintage. I deduct these on my tax return as charitable contributions to the Historical Preservation Society.

As a CPA, I tell people you can deduct ANYTHING you want to. Until you get audited.  [:D]

I wonder if I could get a deduction for a donation for endangered wildlife?

Desert Eagle
Super Redhawk

Sounds as good as some others I've heard here.

And if I make Senior Member status tonight can I get a deduction for that next year?
